ABOUT ME
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and an Approved Clinical Supervisor in NJ & Georgia.
I'm certified as an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) through the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE). Additionally, I am a Board Certified TeleMental Health Counselor (BC- TMH). I have also been trained and certified in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and mindfulness practices, which have been known to help people suffering with PTSD as well as other anxieties. I am a member of The American Counseling Association (ACA) and dedicated to the mission of keeping families together starting from the top down. For this reason, I work hard to partner with parents/caregivers to develop treatment goals. As a therapist, I am committed to educating parents/caregivers & children using creative and attainable interventions. I believe that it is paramount that parents/caregivers and children have the necessary supports in place to help them function to their fullest potential.
Since I so strongly believe in caregiver support, I am adamant about connecting parents and caregivers with additional service providers if appropriate. This strengthening of support could include working with extended family members and friends when necessary.
Working together is simple – as we get to know one another, we will embark on a journey for better mental health. This is done by exploring some of the experiences you may be having which are making you anxious or depressed. I am an integrative therapist, which means that I am able to use different methods or techniques that best fit your needs. I am also flexible in how I offer services – we can meet me in my office, via secure email, via a secure chat room, over video or on the telephone, and in some cases we can meet in your home.
